Wal-mart / P&G Family Movie Collaboration Drives Sales

I wrote a post several months ago about a unique project where Wal-mart and P&G had partnered to create feature length family movies for television. The movies featured both Wal-mart and P&G product placements and exclusive advertisements for both companies.

An Advertising Age article this week gives a good post-analysis of the program and finds that it did drive sales and purchase intent among the viewership of the two movies.

Not that everyone can afford this type of program, but it is a novel approach that we are likely to see more of in the future.
