The supermarket scene in downtown Toronto has changed significantly over the past twenty years as the population of condo dwellers has steadily risen along with the developers ability to build condo towers. According to a recent report from the City of Toronto the population of downtown Toronto is now 250,000 and is set to nearly double to 475,000 by 2041.
A staple of the downtown supermarket network has been the Rabba chain of c-store / supermarkets that cater to those living in the core (and beyond). Rabba’s 38th store is located at Jarvis and Charles and is positioned as Rabba Marche and provides a solid mix of prepared foods, groceries and convenience items to the busy neighborhood.
