Well we are down to the main selling event of the year and Christmas displays are everywhere (and have been for many weeks).
In an adaptation of the adage about the “fat lady and the opera”, for us it’s not Christmas until the fat guy pops up on Coca-Cola displays.
While Coca-Cola has been using images of Santa in their marketing since the 1930’s, the notion that the modern Santa Claus was invented by the soft drink maker is purely urban legend.
An urban legend about an imaginary figure. It doesn’t get more magical than that!
