With the World Cup at its peak, you may not have noticed that the CFL season has already started (unless you live in or are from Saskatchewan)!
The Calgary Stampeders are hanging their hopes of attending the Grey Cup in Vancouver on the back of RB Jon Cornish.
CFL’s leading rusher and most outstanding player in 2013 has been immortalized through the launch of Cornish Flakes cereal at Calgary Co-op stores which have large displays like the one shown in the photo below. This follows in the tradition of “Flutie Flakes” which were launched when the QB was at the top of his game with the Buffalo Bills
The cereal is also accompanied by Cornish RB-Q potato chips which will be popular at Stampeders tailgate parties this year!
Unfortunately, Cornish was carted off the field in the home opener of the season after a nasty clothes-line by a Montreal Alouette. Hopefully sales will not be affected if Cornish is stuck on the sidelines!
